How do you feel at the end of a lazy day? Rested and chilled or annoyed at having not done any of the things you might have?
Today is a down day. It’s a self-declared day of rest, I decided that 2hrs after getting up. It’s rained since I rose out of bed, even the dog isn’t interested in going out - the thing is, I’m not sure how I feel about it.
On the one hand, I’m proud of myself for recognising that I’m tired, therefore I need to rest - on the other, I’m thinking about my dog portraits that I’m excited to finish, whilst looking at a pile of ironing that I’m in no way motivated to sort out.
That’s where I am. Painting, ironing or staying in bed.
I’m currently doing the latter.
Do you consciously hit the pause button? Perhaps you score out weekends on your calendar to literally stop?
I’d love to know.
