Sometimes, over-thinking a problem doesn’t help.
For about 5/6 months now, I’ve been considering a change to my prices and loathing even the thought of doings so. I am so comfortable with them, they have a great uptake and happily seem to be in the sweet-spot of acceptance for those wishing to have their dogs inmortalised in paint forever.
However (& very boringly) prices for my materials has grown particularly over the past year.
Something needed to change.
Happily the answer came to me, and it’s one that I am super comfortable with.
I can now keep my prices the same, but tweak the canvas sizes - just a little.
So, from now on my canvas sizes are:
I truly would have loved to keep them the same as they were, but in truth I was worried about the level of detail in each one of my paintings. If I had kept them all as they were, I would have to accept more commissions at one time, which may have lead to each being compromised.
The uber, best top quality of each painting leaving my studio is something that is unmoveable. Each painting has to be the very, very best I can do.
So now, I have my answer, and am really happy.
