Summer happenings, do's & events

It’s ok everyone, you can come out - Spring is here – no really it is.  I know this because every year when I see the Magnolia trees in blossom, I think in haste about how I need to paint them because they are so heart-stoppingly beautiful.  By the time I get all my gubbins ready to go, they are past their best and I promise myself that next year I’ll be ready – you get the picture am sure (pun indeed intended).

This Summer/Autumn is cooking up to be a really exciting one for me.  I have some new paintings that are going down really well, these include ‘A Trip to the Park’ and more recently we have ‘The Walking of the Dogs’.  Both of these are available in Ltd Ed runs of 75 and come framed and ready to hang on the wall.

I’m also doing lots of shows and events too this summer, including Northcote Road Summer Fair, Latitude Festival and hopefully The Country Living Spring Fair early next year.  Here is the diary link to my spangly new website, do come along and say hello if you can.

I’m having my first ever exhibition in my beautiful new studio on the weekend of June 12th – 14th.  This show is going to mark my first exhibition in my new workspace.  I’m also inviting another super talented artist to pop in a couple of beautiful works too.  Friday 11th is the private view 6- 9pm so please do come along and have a glass of vino or two.  The rest of the weekend, the show is open from 10am – 5pm and is super family-friendly so bring everyone along.  I have some printed invites for this event so please do email me if you would like me to send you a couple.

Also, as I mentioned earlier…I have a lovely new website which you can now make purchases on – I promise!  I’m so sorry that my last one didn’t and thanks for all your requests that it should.  It’s now up and running and I’m adding new works to it as I make them.  Set yourself up a bookmark and dip in from time to time as this is the place that my new works will be on show first and exclusively for a period of time.  I hope you enjoy it.

So, that’s how my summer is looking.  That and doing my best to give the children as much of a ‘Swallows & Amazon’s summer as possible, once I can drag them away from Minecraft that is!

Much love and keep creative yourself too.  Here is a link to a programme of arts events I am running with the wonderful team at Art Safari – pick something and join us…go on…you know you want to!
