It's been all go, go, go for the past few weeks and I have loved every minute of it!
Seeking a proper busy year, I booked lots of Summer Fairs, Christmas Fairs, a show of my own into the mix.
We've alot on, but nothing that I hadn't prepared fully for. Am delighted to report that thus far, my shows have been a raging success and my works have been selling like hotcakes. The best bit about doing a fair, it the valuable feedback that it offers. Sometimes after conversations with people I jot down some of the points raised and feedback given, at the bottom of this post you will find some. For anyone in the beginnings of a career which involves making and selling, I whole-heartedly recommend doing this as of course, it's super easy to forget the gems of advice given, and somewhere in those conversations are indications of your next projects - keep a notebook nearby.
I've also been in chats with a wonderful and whopper department store too about selling some of my works through them - it's early doors and I don't want to jinx it, so am just going to leave it at my being very happy to get this far. More soon.
Also, freshly booked is my stand at The Country Living Fair, Spring 2016 Come & see me at Stand MF28.
This coming week see's my last two shows of the summer. Finton House, School Summer Fair & The Northcote Road Summer Fair, both in South London. Come & Say hello.
Once home from those, it's a quick turnaround into teaching and leading workshops. The first of which is (very excitingly) at Latitude Festival where this year we will be going en-famille to run family drawing workshops - brilliant fun indeed.
Then, rest!! Feet up, or rather in the sea.
Until Christmas begins...in September!
Much love, Samantha
