Send over the photos that feel most like your dog—no matter when they were taken or how old your pup was. We are capturing their spirit, so casual phone snaps are absolutely fine.

What Works Best

  • Snaps! Don't worry about professional photography. Just send the pictures that make you smile.

  • Short Videos Welcome: Quick video clips are wonderful! I can pause them to catch fleeting expressions and draw action studies for our painting.

  • The More, The Merrier: Send as few as 6–8 or as many as 30+. Having plenty of imagery gives us the widest choice when bringing your dog onto the canvas.

How to Send Them Over

  • Email: You can send them to me over email (info@samanthabarnes.co.uk)

  • WhatsApp: Send them phone-to-phone (I will share my studio number once your spot is reserved).

  • Make A Google Shared Album: Drop a link to a Google Photos album straight into a message.

Framing & Delivery

Framing should be exciting, not overwhelming. To keep your artwork safe and cost-effective, here is how your portrait leaves my studio and how you can frame it at home.

How Your Artwork Arrives

  • UK Deliveries: Arrives mounted on an archival panel or stretched canvas—ready to frame or hang straight out of the box.

  • International Deliveries (US & Worldwide): Shipped securely rolled in a heavy-duty tube. This eliminates international damage risks and avoids massive shipping surcharges. (Stretched or panel-mounted shipping is available upon request).

Framing Options for Rolled Canvases

If your painting arrives rolled, your local framer can prepare it for your wall in two ways:

  • Option 1: Traditional Stretched Canvas: Stretched over wooden stretcher bars. Your painting can hang directly on the wall as a clean 3D canvas, or be fitted into a deep floating tray frame.

  • Option 2: Archival Panel Mount (Best Value). Permanently mounted to a rigid board using pH-neutral, acid-free adhesive. This sits flat, drops into standard shallow frames, or can be elevated inside a tray frame to create a beautiful shadow effect.

A Note from the Studio

Some people assume stretched canvas is the only option, but professional panel mounting is archival, warp-proof, and completely safe for canvas art. Because panel mounting saves on labour, it often leaves you with more budget to spend on a beautiful outer frame.

Be open with your framer about your budget—they are wonderful allies in helping you choose the perfect finish for your home.
