Daffodils symbolise: Spring, new beginnings and rebirth.
This is my first painting Daffodils on a deep green background. ‘Dancing Daffodils I’.
Working on a deeply green coloured background, the daff’s seem to pop right out at you, this is why I have called them ‘Dancing Daffodils’.
I also enjoy making studies of flowers outside of their jar. Laying them flat offers them space and working from a birds-eye view gives a contemporary feel.
This painting is 100 x 100cm on a deep box canvas.
