Over my thirty-year career as an artist, I have held many, many art workshops and art classes. They can be a wonderful way to earn extra income alongside making our work and meet new people who may one day turn into valuable clients.
When attending workshops myself, I am always keen to learn how others run theirs - each is entirely individual and unique to the artist-tutor.
When we run an event, we essentially hold space for our fellow humans to explore, play, discover, and upskill-by-doing.
So, how does a great workshop happen?
‘Quietly Encouraging’ is a two-part live workshop (via Zoom) during which I share everything that has worked so well for me personally over the years.
These include:
Dreaming up your perfect workshop - Identifying what it looks like and discovering the parts that will be so unique to you as the facilitator.
Venue hunting - could it be closer than you think?
Preparing, Marketing, Costs and Pricing, Booking Essentials, Legals (insurances), Waiting Lists
Hosting, Planning Your Day, Styling, Hiring help, Delivering Confidently(without exhausting yourself)
Reviewing your event, asking for Feedback
Your Next Event!
Along with your two live sessions, there will be two gentle workbooks to stimulate your workshop thinking ❤️
