Sometimes it’s just lovely to get my hands dirty and make something.
This was exactly what I did when making these bases to paint upon. Paper sculpting, then covering in plaster of paris, leaving an age to dry thoroughly, then came the paint over gazillions of base covers.
These works are made to prop. On shelves, mantlepieces, dressers or other. They could also be hung but I’m not sure how, perhaps some super-strength tape around the back.
This is ‘Blue Dog on Green Pillow’ and is a lovely lurcher/whippet style dog enjoying a post walk rest.
It is 30 x 30 x 3cm
