Having recently started Sea Swimming, there is a place here in Suffolk that is a favourite of mine.
It’s a natural lagoon just off a beautiful beach of Shingle (called ‘Shingle Stree’).
It’s safe- place, full of happy families, friends and wandering people, complete with dogs all hanging out by the sea.
My best thing about sea-swimming is to look back to the bank, when I am finally, fully in the water and swimming. It’s such a nice viewpoint.
This is one of my sketches of just that scene. Painted in watercolours, inks and acrylic paint, on 280gms watercolour paper.
‘Lagoon’ is sold unframed, unmounted and sent tubed in the post for you to frame as you wish. (Am happy to offer framing advice).
