'Sea Shanty' Original Painting on Canvas. 90 x 90cm
Please note* I have put a price reduction on this canvas due to a tiny mark/hole on the canvas in the very bottom left hand corner. I will be taking this to my framers for fixing from the back so it’s not vulnerable and as good as new, but wanted to share this with you.
(It’s worth noting that I LOVE slightly damaged canvases as they extend the story of a painting! I collect them specifically for this reason.)

This is ‘Sea Shanty’
A new painting made this month. It’s a large canvas at 90 x 90cm, abstract in nature and full of stories of the sea.
‘A sea shanty, chantey, or chanty is a type of work song that was once commonly sung to accompany labour on board large merchant sailing vessels.’
It is 90 x 90cm on a deep box canvas of 4cm.
This painting is sold unframed.
‘Sea Shanty’ tells the story of the coast, drift wood, early Sunday walks, boats, ropes and fresh air. This painting marks a new turning point for me, a far more abstract one than I have been comfortable with for years and I am very excited by it.
It is an original, mixed media painting of oil and acrylic paint.
90 x 90cm on a 3cm deep box canvas
Signed, titled and yearly dated.
