Labradog Portraits (Painterly Ones)

It’s been Labrador central around my studio recently ❤️. I think I must have had a social post that went gangbusters as enquiries for my painting these beautiful dogs have been plentiful of late.

How lucky I am that I get asked to paint them - I never take it for granted.

Being asked to keep in contact, by way of a sign-up to my website, and asked to paint for loving owners or a dog’s family is an enormous compliment, every time.

In the Spring of this year I dabbled a little with Meta advertising for another collection of paintings (that have now all sold, so it worked!) I made myself sit and learn this skill, what to click, what to aim for, how to build an advert that brings people to see the works on my easel.

Deciding to keep these new skills going and fresh in my mind, I began building a single advert for my dogs. With the help of my lovely Instagram friends, I tweaked it into being a lovely, workable graphic.

Then I had an idea… what if my ad didn’t say ‘Painterly Dog Portraits’? What if it said ‘Painterly Labradog Portraits’?

This would make sense given that my head (and my painting hands) are all about them just now.
