'A Drawing Art Lunch' on Friday 22nd August 2025, Woodbridge, Suffolk (10am - 3pm)
Come and join me for a day event of drawing, perhaps paintings and definitely, eating in my Woodbridge (Suffolk) studio on Friday 22nd August, 10am - 3pm.
This workshop is for all levels in art, from super-beginners to advanced artists; zero art skills are necessary, just a willingness to have a go.
Together, we will be working on a project set by Sam. You will be gently guided through the art exercises and activities throughout.
A vegetarian Lunch will be prepared for us by Lisa Sare, of @ModernLarder. An incredible cook and great friend. Foods will be locally sourced and homemade. (Please inform me of any dietary requirements via the checkout form)
All art materials are included, but please do feel free to bring any that you have along with you.
This art-lunch is limited to only 8 people.
My studio is in central Woodbridge, Suffolk. IP12 4DZ.
I can happily offer some suggestions for accommodation if you are coming from afar.
Important Notes:
Parking.
I do have a couple of spaces behind my studio, but parking is best on a near road, about 800 yards from my studio, so a little walk. Please let me know if you need one of the spaces next to my studio.
About My Studio
My workspace is in a secluded secret garden, attached to our home. The garden space is lovely, but uneven with graveled paths.
It’s important to note that toilet facilities are in our home, at the bottom of the garden, some two paths and six steps down - and then back up to return to the studio. I’m sorry to say that my workspace is not wheelchair friendly.
Depending on the weather, working outside of the studio can be a lovely option, if it’s cold and rainy we will work inside on desks and/or easels.
Insurance. Although I have Public Liability Insurance, I can’t insure against the unlikely event of any mishaps that might happen in our home garden. Please make sure you are aware of this before signing up/checking out.
Risk assessments will have taken place prior to our event and I am happy to say that I have run many successful workshops and events here in the past.
We have a very lovely senior Cocker Spaniel, Barney. Please let me know if you don’t like dogs, as he is very likely to enjoy welcoming you into my studio and garden.
